Dr. Venus Maher came to chiropractic care early in her life. As a fifteen year old she injured her back and was helped by a compassionate chiropractor. That experience ultimately lead to her decision to become a chiropractor because it fit her desire to work in an alternative, independent, yet licensed field in which she can make a difference in people’s lives every day. She attended Santa Rosa Junior College, Sonoma State University, and then graduated from Life Chiropractic College West in 1986. Dr. Maher has been taking care of patients’ medical needs ever since.

When Dr. Maher decided to open Maher Chiropractic in Cotati/Rohnert Park in 1989, she went out to meet the community first. Knocking on many doors, she introduced herself, asked questions and listened to people’s concerns, experiences and opinions about chiropractic care. It was a logical thing to do for someone who intends to practice as a chiropractor in the Cotati/Rohnert Park area for 50 years.

After more than 20 years, Dr. Venus Maher’s commitment to her profession and her community is as strong as ever. She continues to increase her skills and knowledge through seminars and study. She says that being a Chiropractor is far more than a job; it’s a vocation. Dr. Maher loves helping people and connecting with them, watching their families grow and sharing in their lives. Every patient is treated as if she or he is family and Dr. Maher looks forward to many more years of serving them.
